“An honest brake” is not just a motto!I wanted to take the time to submit a thorough review of my experience at Brake Masters Manteca.My husband and I brought our Honda Odyssey in because we were hearing a slight squeak now and then when braking. Derek (store manager) and Brandon (assistant manager/technician) were so warm and welcoming and did a complimentary diagnostic. We knew right away they were honest because they noted that the front brakes had recently been done (which they had) and that the rear brakes still had a good amount of cushion left so they recommended we hold off for a bit on switching those out.We then asked to have our other vehicle (RAV4) looked at because I had noticed some delay when braking. They informed us that while those brakes also still had some life left, the brake fluid was slightly low and highly corroded. They also informed us that the front struts and rear shocks were in dire need of replacement, which we had put off and then forgot about. The quote they came back with to have all these repairs done was $1,000 less than what the other local mechanic that we had been using previously had provided. Not only that, even though they were busy, they were still able to get us in and out before closing.Aside from the actual job, Derek and Brandon are great conversationalists. They were a pleasure to chat with while we waited to get the work done and after. They never made us feel like they were too busy for us and were very patient to explain the work that needed to be done and why.We’re glad to have found Brake Masters Manteca and are just kicking ourselves that we hadn’t tried them out sooner, which would have saved us a lot of time, money, and headache!
